Envision Peace Museum is in the process of building advisory boards to help guide programs and development. Though Envision has just begun this process, we are proud to announce the first member of our Philadelphia Advisory Board, Alan Greenberger, Deputy Mayor of Planning and Economic Development.
Howard Zinn
As mentioned elsewhere, the first member of Envision’s International Advisory Board, Howard Zinn, passed away earlier this year. Envision looks forward to honoring Zinn’s rich legacy as a historian, activist, and peacemaker at an event in 2011. Envision is also proud to have Dr. Helen Caldicott as a member of the International Advisory Board. One of the most articulate and passionate advocates for citizen action to remedy the nuclear and environmental crises, Dr. Helen Caldicott has devoted the last 38 years to an international campaign to educate the public about the medical hazards of the nuclear age and the changes that are necessary in human behavior to stop environmental destruction.
